Antelope 5.11 released on May 3, 2021

Our support of releases prior to Antelope 5.11 is now shifted over to this new release. All future maintenance and support requests must be relative to this new release. Antelope 5.11 runs on 64-bit x86 RedHat / CentOS Linux versions 7.6 and 8.2, and macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and 11.0 (Big Sur) operating systems. As before, we recommend Linux as the first choice for enterprise-class monitoring. When installing Linux, we also recommend installing a complete release, e.g. with the “Development and Creative Workstation” environment group selectable during installation. There are many changes in the Antelope 5.11 release relative to the previous releases. The changes are summarized in the Changes file in the ISO image root directory. Some of the important new developments this year:
  • Wider Platform Support – Antelope 5.11 supports RedHat and CentOS Linux 7.x and 8.x (compiled on versions 7.6 and 8.2) as well as macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina, the compilation platform) and 11.0 (Big Sur).
  • Rewritten CD1.1 Transmitter and Receiver – We have rewritten the CD1.1 transmitter and receiver to improve security and align them with the updated orb2orb program.
  • Refined and Improved orb2orb – Usability fixes to streamline the parameter file and increase the configuration possibilities when managing hundreds of connections
