Our support of releases prior to and including Antelope 5.15 is now shifted over to this new release. All future maintenance and support requests must be relative to this new release.
Operating System Information
Antelope 5.15 runs on 64-bit x86 RedHat 8 Linux, RedHat 9 Linux, Ubuntu 22 Linux, macOS Intel 12 (Monterey) and higher, and macOS M-series 15 (Sequoia) operating systems. As before, we recommend Linux as the first choice for enterprise-class monitoring. On a detailed technical note, the Ubuntu 22 version this year was compiled against the General Availability (GA) kernel, rather than the Hardware Enhancement (HWE) kernel used for the previous release.
Licensing
For those who do not already have license keys for this release, it will be necessary to obtain new keys from BRTT. This can be done by filling out and e-mailing the registration form presented during the installation process. General instructions for installing the release, obtaining licenses, and running the demos can be found in the README file in the root directory of the ISO image.
Important New Developments This Year
There are many changes in the Antelope 5.15 release relative to the previous releases. The changes are summarized in the Changes file in the ISO image root directory. You can also see what changes were made in the Antelope 5.15 release at https://brtt.com/software/latest-release/. Here are a few highlights:
- We have built the SEEDlink ringserver into Antelope. Along with the contributed-code utilities slink2orb and
orb2ringserver, this allows seamless parallel use of SEEDlink and Antelope-orbserver data streams for data exchange. - We have put extensive effort into strong-motion data handling with the COSMOS V0 format, as well as integration of Bighorn with the Condor structural-health monitoring platform.
- We have overhauled the webdlmon web-application released last year, in support of comprehensive cloud-based data-acquisition and datalogger state-of-health monitoring.
